As a first-generation college student, I was the first person in my family to attend college. I fell in love with psychology as a college freshman at the University of California, Los Angeles. After graduating, I went on to get a doctoral degree in social psychology from Stanford University. I study and teach about the effects of pop culture on how we think about ourselves and each other (I get to watch television for work!). My goal is to make sure students understand the principles of psychology and how they connect to their daily life, as well as to larger, social issues. While my courses require a fair amount of work, I am certain that each student is capable of learning and growing in my classroom.
