I am a lifelong educator, having started my career as a high school English teacher, after earning a Bachelor of Science in Education from Emporia State University (Kansas). After teaching for over a decade, I earned my M.A. in History from Colorado State University. Before coming to NSC, I taught history at Las Vegas Academy of the Arts, teaching dual-credit U.S. history for CSN’s Jumpstart Program. I enjoy taking a humanities-centered approach in my courses, which include American Experience and Constitutional Change, as well as both history requirements and electives. Teaching full-time at the college level has always been my dream, so when the opportunity at NSC presented itself, I decided to pursue it. I am so glad that I did!
