Prior to teaching, I worked in Public Accounting, auditing small local nutrition shops to multimillion dollar oil and gas resource companies and everything in-between. Watching the massive turnover in my staff and colleagues geared me to want to research and understand employee turnover in public accounting bringing me back to education to get my PhD. My research interests are geared towards behavioral in understanding superior subordinate work relationships and factors that contribute to work quality and effectiveness specifically in Audit teams.
I love teaching and hope that I share the benefits and opportunities that accounting has to my students to hopefully one day make them Accountants as well.
