Our offerings continue to grow and adapt in response to the changing needs of K-12 constituents throughout our state. Our speech-language pathology program is innovative with evidence based practice for all ages – children and adults.
To best serve Nevada’s diverse and continually broadening education community, we provide a fast-track post-baccalaureate teacher education program, and Alternative Route to Licensure (ARL) coursework that assists in meeting licensure provisions.
If you’re looking to make an impact in the Clark County School District, our SoE Post Baccalaureate program provides you rigorous pedagogy and content courses, so you can BE LICENSED to teach in high-need areas such as elementary education, special education generalist and autism, and secondary math and science.

Students who currently hold a bachelor’s degree or higher and intend to complete coursework leading to teacher licensure through the Nevada Department of Education.
Alternative Programs (Current or Provisionally Licensed Teachers)
Students who hold a current full-time teacher position, through the Clark County School District, and intend to complete the Alternative Route to Certification (ARC) in Autism or Generalist. Or students who have been accepted into the Clark County School District Alternative Route to Licensure (ARL). (Substitute licenses excluded.)

Post-Baccalaureate Program (Speech Pathology – School Based) - SLEP
Students who currently hold a bachelor’s degree or higher and intend to complete coursework leading to speech therapist licensure through the Nevada Department of Education. Applicants must have a 3.0 GPA or higher on the transcripts of their highest degree attained.

Speech Language Pathology – Master’s Preparatory Program – (SLP-MPP)
Students who currently hold a bachelor’s degree or higher and intend to complete the pre-requisite coursework for NSC’s SLP graduate program. Applicants must have a 3.0 GPA or higher on their undergraduate degree transcripts.
