The Nevada State College Foundation awarded over $150,000 in scholarships to NSC students in the 2021/2022 academic year!
The Nevada State College Foundation funds a number of scholarship programs for students. Applications are reviewed by NSC committees which include faculty from across campus. Award amounts are determined by the Foundation based on donor agreements. Please keep in mind that Board of Regents' policies require scholarship recipients to have at least a 2.75 GPA and full-time enrollment unless otherwise specified by the donor.
The 2023-2024 application will be available December 15, 2022 through April 15, 2023.
Applicants for the 2022/23 school year will be notified by August 2022 if they have been awarded a scholarship.
Bank of Nevada - three awards totaling $5,000
Employee Annual Fund Scholarship - one $1,000 award
Fred Maryanski Memorial Scholarship - two $1,000 awards
Henderson Chamber of Commerce Scholarship - two awards totaling $5,000
Roberto's Taco Shop Scholarship - five awards totaling $10,000
Robyn Carr Scholarship - one $2,500 award
NSC General Scholarship - 49 $1,000 awards
Dietrich Trust Scholarship - three awards totaling $15,000
Gwen and Gregory Scholarship - one $1,000 award
Marydean Martin Scholarship - nine awards totaling $15,000
Scottish Rite Scholarship - one $1,000 award
Laura J. Silvestri Scholarship - one $2,000 award
Marie B. Simms Scholarship for Deaf Education - one $1,000 award
Speech Rehab Services Scholarship - five awards totaling $5,000
Sletten Construction of Nevada - two awards totaling $5,000
Professor Jan Scholarship - three awards totaling $3,750
Robert A. Swadell Memorial Scholarship - two awards totaling $3,000
Amanda Howard Nursing Scholarship - four awards totaling $14,000
Ed and Shauna Smith Nursing Scholarship - two awards totaling $9,000
Part-Time Nursing Scholarship - one $1,000 award
AGEM Visual Media Scholarship - two awards totaling $2,000
