It's as easy as Pi

Do you like working with numbers and solving logical puzzles? If so, the BS in Mathematics is a terrific degree for you. As a math major, you’ll work with our experienced faculty to develop strong analytical abilities and intellectual versatility through a rigorous pursuit of mathematical content. When you graduate, you will have mastered ideas and tools that can be applied to a wide range of practical applications, from science and engineering to marketing and finance. Furthermore, the BS in Mathematics is an excellent choice for students interested graduate school, since Math majors have the highest average scores on entrance exams such as the LSAT (for law schools) and GMAT (for business programs).

PROGRAM HIGHLIGHTS: Math majors complete a special capstone course with a project designed to demonstrate their mathematical skills in an applied project. Math students have attended conferences to present the research in Baltimore, Washington D.C., San Diego, and Seattle. Math majors are invited to participate in the prestigious Putnam Exam (the hardest math test you’ve seen).
