With the start of the fall semester at Nevada State College (NSC), six senior nursing students proudly began work within the Veterans Administration Learning Opportunities Residency (VALOR) Program offered by the VA Southern Nevada Healthcare System.

A nine-year tradition for the Nevada State College School of Nursing, the Healing Presence Ceremony was held at the Family Justice Park on Monday, September 24, 2012.

As the Hispanic population in Southern Nevada continues to grow, the need for bilingual medical professionals is also increasing.
