Commencement Day

Graduate Arrival

Graduates must arrive at the venue one hour prior to the ceremony start time. Once inside, you will be directed by event staff to line up with your associated school.

Guest Tickets

Tickets are required for the event and are free of charge for family and friends to attend the ceremony. A graduate participating in a live ceremony does not need an individual ticket. Each graduate can claim up to five tickets via Marching Order. Tickets must be claimed by the registration deadline, otherwise they will be forfeited. Doors will open at 10 a.m. on the day of the event and seating will be first come, first served. We do not expect extra tickets to be available due to the number of graduates and the venue seating. Should extra tickets become available, additional information will be emailed to registered graduates the week of April 25.

Parking

Parking will be available in the DLC Arena lot and surrounding area.

Decorum

Dress and behavior should reflect the honor of the occasion. Remember that graduates will have to walk up and down the stage steps so please wear appropriate shoes.

Tassels

At the beginning of commencement, tassels are worn on the right. Graduates will receive direction from the podium when it is time to move the tassel to the left.

GradPass

Your GradPass stage card will be assigned to you virtually via Marching Order. Once you register for commencement via MarchingOrder, you will receive an email invitation to retrieve your GradPass and print it out from the MarchingOrder website. Graduates must print and bring their GradPass to the ceremony. It is critical that all graduates have their GradPass when they get to the stage in order to cross and be acknowledged.
