I have worked in elementary education in Las Vegas, Nevada for ten years teaching first, second, fourth and fifth grade. I received my in Ph.D. in Curriculum and Instruction from the University of Nevada, Las Vegas. My research interests include teacher education and pedagogy, teacher racial identity, critical literacy, and multicultural education.
