As a native Nevadan, I am passionate about the health of our community. Working as a nurse case manager for many years allowed me to learn about how the environment, culture, and social determinants affect health. As a member of Partners for a Healthy Nevada, the Mobile Health Collaborative, and other community organizations, I am able to integrate current health-related issues into my courses and inspire future nurses to improve health outcomes not only in Nevada but in our nation and global community as well.
