I am a conservation ecologist interested in how human activities affect biodiversity. I was inspired to pursue a career in ecology by my professors at the University of California Los Angeles, and by participating in undergraduate research opportunities there, which included a field course in the tropical rainforest of Nicaragua. Here at Nevada State College, I want to provide my students equally engaging experiential learning and to inspire future generations of scientists.
Dr. Sigel regularly teaches: Biol 211 (Introduction to Field Biology), Biol 305 (Introduction to Conservation Biology), Biol 419 (Tropical Ecology), Biol 433 (Ornithology), Biol 441 (Field Ecology)
