Dr. Christy Fleck is an assistant professor of speech-language pathology at Nevada State College. She earned her Ph.D. in communication sciences and disorders and her masters of science in speech-language pathology at Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center. Her research and clinical interests include early childhood intervention, traumatic brain injury, mild cognitive impairment, normal aging, swallowing & swallowing disorders, and voice. Dr. Fleck has worked with adults in acute care hospitals, long-term acute care hospitals, inpatient rehabilitation, skilled nursing, day treatment, home health, and assisted-living facilities. She has worked with children in the early childhood intervention setting and supervised students assessing/treating school-age children in the university clinic setting. Dr. Fleck has presented research and clinical topics at international, national, and state conferences. When not working or traveling for conferences, she enjoys spending time with her nieces, nephews, and goldendoodle.
