Katie Dockweiler, Ed.D., NCSP

I am honored to join the Nevada State School of Education family as an Assistant Professor of School Psychology. As a long-time school psychologist and policy researcher I am committed to serving the mental health needs of our diverse community. My research is focused on frameworks that impact students including the Boomerang Policy Making Model; the ARTERY (Active Recruitment, Training, and Educator Retention to serve our Youth) Pipeline FrameworkÓ  for school-based mental health professionals; and multi-tiered systems of support program implementation and evaluation.

Providing service to our community and profession are important to me, and in 2016 was awarded the Certificate of Appreciation Award by the National Association of School Psychologists for my advocacy efforts. I have experience serving as a member of the Nevada State Board of Education, as Chair of the NASP Communications Committee, as a member of the NASP Leadership Assembly, and as the Director of Policy for the Nevada Association of School Psychologists.
