Kevin Graziano, Ed.D.

I am a Professor of Teacher Education in the School of Education. I received my doctorate from the University of San Francisco in International and Multicultural Education with a minor in Educational Technology. I teach educational technology and TESOL courses to preservice and inservice teachers and conduct research on teachers’ technology integration in the classroom. I am the recipient of the 2012 Nevada System of Higher Education, Board of Regents’ Teaching Award. I also received the Nevada State College iTeach Award. In 2012, I received a Fulbright Specialist grant from the U.S. Department of State, Bureau of Educational and Cultural Affairs. I provided training on educational technology to preservice teachers at Sakhnin College in Sakhnin, Israel. In 2012, I also completed two international fellowships to the University of the Sunshine Coast in Queensland, Australia and the Marino Institute of Education in Dublin, Ireland where I trained teacher educators and preservice teachers on photovoice and technology. During my sabbatical in 2015, I worked with teachers at a newcomer high school to flip the math classroom. I co-authored international research that led to the development of the Teacher Educator Technology Competencies (TETCs) (see https://www.learntechlib.org/p/181966/). I am the chair of the Consultative Council for the Society for Information Technology and Teacher Education (SITE), the former chair of the American Association of Colleges for Teacher Education’s (AACTE) Committee on Innovation and Technology, and the former co-chair of SITE’s mobile learning SIG. I am a contributor and co-editor of Championing Technology Infusion in Teacher Preparation: A Framework for Supporting Future Educators (2020) published by the International Society for Technology in Education (ISTE), and also a contributor and co-editor of Online Teaching in K-12: Models, Methods, and Best Practices for Teachers and Administrators (2016) published by Information Today.
