Dr. Neil Longley joined Nevada State College in September 2019 as Director of the newly-formed Department of Business. Prior to joining NSC, he spent the previous 15 years as a professor in the Isenberg School of Management at the University of Massachusetts, Amherst. He served in a variety of administrative and leadership roles while in the Isenberg School, including five years as Director of the PhD program.
Dr. Longley holds a PhD in Economics from Washington State University, and also has an MBA and an undergraduate degree in Accounting. He has an unwavering commitment to teaching, and was the 2017 winner of the Isenberg School’s Teaching Excellence Award. He has authored over twenty-five peer-reviewed articles, along with two scholarly books, and his research has been featured in the New York Times.
