Email

All employees and students get an email account that will serve as the official email address for Nevada State communications. For employees, the email address will end in @nsc.flywheelstaging.com, and for students, @students.nsc.flywheelstaging.com.

To access your account, visit the NSC Portal and click on the “Email” link in the navigation.

Mobile App

NSC offers a free mobile app with access to news, events, campus directories, and maps.  The app also provides access to add/drop classes, view final grades, check account balances, review financial aid, search for open classes, and much more.

Download the NSC Mobile app by searching for it in the Apple App Store or the Google Play Store.

Portal

This one location provides access to campus announcements, email, news, printing, library research databases, online courses (WebCampus/Canvas), Student/Faculty Center, and much more.

To access the NSC Portal visit https://my.nsc.flywheelstaging.com.

Scorpion Card (ID)

The Scorpion Card serves as your official student ID, library card, provides swipe access to campus copiers/printers, and provides the ability to add funds for making purchases at the Café, Bookstore, or for copying/printing.

To obtain your card:

  • Visit the Information & Technology Services front desk on the second floor of the Rogers Student Center (RSC-228), Monday-Friday 8:00-4:30pm.  Please be sure to bring a government issued photo ID, such as a driver’s license, which is required to verify your identity.  The first card is free but lost or stolen cards are $5 to replace.
  • Alternatively, you can submit a request for your Scorpion Card online by completing this form.  Once submitted you’ll receive an e-mail with information to come into the office to pick up your card.

To report a lost/stolen card contact Card Services at (702) 992-2420 Monday-Friday 8:00-4:30pm.

Wireless Access

Wireless access is available at all NS facilities.  To access it, look for the network “NSC Secure” and sign in using your NSC username and password.  Additionally, Nevada State is part of the eduroam wireless network used at thousands of institutions around the world.  To access the eduroam network on-campus or anywhere that supports it, log in using your NSC login/password.  For employees the format will be userid@nsc.flywheelstaging.com and for students userid@students.nsc.flywheelstaging.com.
