Senior Senator
ABOUT ME
Major: Secondary Education with an emphasis in Mathematics
Minor: Communication & Psychology
When I came to NSC in 2018, I quickly noticed that NSC placed an emphasis on meeting the needs of the students & encouraging student engagement. The staff was supportive & inclusive of all students that came on campus and/or took classes online. As time went on, I began to notice NSSA’s constant presence in social activities for students as well as being the voice of the general student population. I wanted to be a part of that. I also wanted to join NSSA to give back to NSC and further my leadership skills. So in the summer of 2021, I became a member of NSSA and the rest is history.

Hello! My name is Gisela. I’m a full-time Nursing student and I’ve been a member of NSSA for 6 months. I first heard of NSSA through the events that they would host and I always thought how great it was to have an organization at school that was made for the students. I joined NSSA to become an active member of the school and community. It has been an honor to act as the voice of the students and to create events to bring Scorpions together, even in times like this. Some of my hobbies include spending time with my birds and traveling to tropical places.
